Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a blaze that caused significant damage to a parked travel trailer on the East Mesa Monday morning.
About 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, firefighters were dispatched to the report of an outside fire that was possibly impacting a structure on the 1600 block of Joshua Court. Upon arrival, crews found flames emitting from a travel trailer that was parked adjacent to a mobile home.
Firefighters attacked the fire and had it under control within about 10 minutes.
Crews searched the travel trailer, that was being used as a residence, and declared it to be clear of occupants. The fire caused extensive damage to the travel trailer. A nearby mobile home was not damaged.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
