Las Cruces, NM (March 4, 2024): Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces is thrilled to announce its annual breakfast fundraiser featuring three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings as the keynote speaker for the 16th Annual Lou & Mary Henson Community Breakfast. The event will be held on April 18th at 7am at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces, NM.
Kerri Walsh Jennings is an American icon, known for her dominance in beach volleyball and her unwavering spirit. With three Olympic gold medals and one bronze, she is the most decorated beach volleyball Olympian of all time, arguably the one of the best volleyball players of all time. Walsh Jennings’ accomplishments also include 135 career wins, with three World Championship titles, 77 AVP championships. Most recently she has been named the Managing Partner for the Pro Volleyball Federation’s San Diego Mojo-major league volleyball franchise that began in 2024
Beyond her athletic achievements, Walsh Jennings is the co-founder of p1440, a nonprofit organization that uses beach volleyball as a vehicle for change to inspire those in our community to live their best lives. Kerri is a passionate advocate for youth development and empowerment, values that perfectly align with the mission of Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces.

The Lou & Mary Henson Community Breakfast is in its 16th year. As a signature event the Henson Community Breakfast has played a pivotal role in the outreach the Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces has been able to achieve. Keynote speakers in past years have seen the likes of Super Bowl winning player and Coach Tom Flores (Oakland Raiders), Gold Medalist Jackie Joyner Kersee, and NFL standout Andre Reed (Buffalo Bills) to name a few. This is a crucial fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces, providing vital resources to support its programs and services for hundreds of local youth.
