LAS CRUCES, NM – The Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces, the city’s nonprofit organization specializing in after-school and summer youth development programs, has named Jennifer Garcia Kozlowski as the organization’s Director of Development.
Kozlowski joins the organization with twenty-five years of experience in nonprofit administration, community organizing, volunteer recruitment, government relations, and grant management. Most recently, Kozlowski served as the Executive Director of the Downtown Las Cruces Partnership from 2017 until 2023. Her past professional experience also includes positions with the Las Cruces Sun-News, the Doña Ana County Clerk Bureau of Elections Office, Community Action Agency, and the Office of the New Mexico Secretary of State.
Kozlowski also has history of volunteerism and civic engagement. She currently serves as the Vice Chair for the New Mexico Opportunity Enterprise Review Board and is a member of the Junior League of Las Cruces. During New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson’s administration, she was also appointed to the New Mexico Department of Economic Development and the Office of Homeland Security.
“I am both honored and thrilled to join the Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces as the Director of Development, serving the amazing children and families in our community,” said Kozlowski. “With a passionate drive and unwavering commitment, I am eager to contribute my expertise and work alongside a dedicated team to create transformative opportunities for our youth. Together, we will build a brighter future, one child at a time, right here in the heart of our beloved community.”
As the Director of Development for the Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces, Kozlowski will provide leadership on all resource development initiatives for the organization. She will also develop, plan, coordinate, and execute all special events and fundraising functions for the Club.
“Jennifer brings a strong knowledge of nonprofit development to our Club along with a natural ability to build meaningful relationships with our community and supporters,” said Ashley Echavarria, Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces CEO. “We look forward to her leadership in helping us build the infrastructure to execute fundraising initiatives that will impact the lives of our Club members,” she added.
Kozlowski will also be instrumental in the Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces “Building Great Futures” Capital Campaign. With a working goal of $8 to $10 million, the organization aims to renovate and expand the former Video 4 Theater location at 1005 El Paseo Rd. The space will provide a 30,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility to serve youth in our community.
