Two Men Arrested for Murder, Castration of Another Man in Fentanyl Robbery

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office says two men have been arrested in the murder and castration of another man in an alleged fentanyl robbery this past March. The two men are identified as 34-year-old Ronnie Trujillo and 28-year-old Marlio Araica. They’re charged in the murder of 19-year-old Ruben Mendez. They’re each charged with murder, armed robbery, tampering with evidence and arson. Sheriff’s officers also arrested an alleged drug trafficker in the case — 29-year-old Marissa Bowers.
