Take-Out STEM Activities from the Museum of Nature & Science

The Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science continues to offer take out activity kits in March. Kits are free but require reservation. To reserve kits please contact Stephanie at [email protected]. Kits are available while supplies last and must be picked up on Wednesday, March 17. Pursuant to state health guidelines, social distancing measures are in place and mask-wearing is required.

“Saturday Family Science – All About Digestion”
Explore digestion by modeling the human digestive tract and experimenting with enzymes. Recommended ages 7 and up.

“STEAMpunk – Linda Buck, Biologist”

Learn about how we sense smell and create an olfactory experience with water beads. Recommended ages 7 and up.

“Nature & Science Discovery Pre-K”
Explore the universe with two space themed activities in a Planeteers kit. Recommended for ages 2-5.

“Terrariums”

Get creative and make your own terrarium at home! Recommended ages 7 and up.

“Dr. Seuss Day”
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! Explore science through the lens of Dr. Seuss’s creative characters. Recommended for all ages.

The Museum of Nature & Science remains closed to the public until further notice due to the current public health pandemic. The museum is located at 411 N. Main Street and is accessible from RoadRUNNER Transit Route 1 Stop 36.
