Non-Essential Medical Services Prohibited

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham on Wednesday announced two public health orders related to the coronavirus pandemic. One order prohibits non-essential medical services, defined as services that can be delayed for three months without undue risk to the patient’s health. Another prohibits health care providers and wholesale medical suppliers from distributing personal protective equipment without approval from the state, and requires an inventory. These are both intended to protect the state’s PPE supply.
