Health Officials Release Updated Recommendations for Schools in El Paso

El Paso officials issued new health recommendations yesterday for all local schools for the upcoming academic year. Schools are advised to not reopen for face-to-face instruction until after September Seventh, and to not allow extracurricular sports and activities until campuses are open again. It is also recommended that children with special healthcare needs not return to school until the 2021-2022 academic year. Doctor Hector Ocaranza, of the Local Health Authority, said it is imperative that the city does what is best for the safety of school children and employees.
