Hazard pay Measure Shot Down

A measure that would have mandated companies comply with coronavirus emergency hazard pay is shot down by Albuquerque city council members. In a meeting yesterday, the city council voted 7-2 not to approve the proposal. Had it passed, the measure would have required companies in the city to pay an extra stipend to hourly wage workers who earn 15-dollars or less and who are in direct contact with clients on the job.
