El Paso Independent Schools to Continue in-Person Instruction

El Paso Independent School officials say the school district will continue with face-to-face instruction for students who returned this past Tuesday. Interim Superintendent Vince Sheffield says although the area remains under a red zone for COVID-19, they do not expect the designation to last long. But Socorro Independent School officials say they’re letting teachers decide whether they’ll return to delivering lessons from home or remain on campus due to the red zone designation. Meanwhile, the Ysleta Independent School District has announced it will return to in-person classes for its campuses beginning February first for families who opted for hybrid or face-to-face learning.
