Couple arrested after teen test positive for methamphetamine

A mother and her father have been arrested after her teenage son tested positive for methamphetamine. 32 year old Corinne Irene Gomez and her father, 59-year-old Jerry Marquez are each charged with a third-degree felony count of child abuse after Gomez’s 14 year old son tested positive for methamphetamine. The 14 year old boy went to the doctor on June 28th for migraine headaches, where examinations found the boy tested positive for methamphetamine. Investigators learned that Gomez, her father, and his friends smoke meth in the garage of the home which in close proximity to the boys bedroom. They were both arrested late Wednesday evening and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center where they are initially being held without bond.
