Amber Alert canceled for 2-week-old from Española

Just after 6 p.m., New Mexico phones were buzzing with an Amber Alert. An hour later, authorities canceled the alert. The Las Cruces sun news reports that the alert was issued for a presumed missing two-week-old infant from Española believed to be with his mother and her boyfriend. Authorities initially reported Joziyah Martinez, who was born just weeks ago, was last seen at 3 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at La Vista Del Rio Apartments in Española. Authorities believed Joziyah was with his mother, Tanya Dixon, 28, and her boyfriend James Maes, 34. In its initial news release, authorities stated Joziyah was “believed to be in danger if not located.” At 7:07 p.m., authorities notified media to cancel the alert, stating “Joziyah Martinez LOCATED AND SAFE.”
